2008 SPRING AND SUMMER PROGRAM GUIDE
NEW! View the Program Guide HERE.

On Monday, September 17th the YMCA of Dodge County started a new chapter in its already rich history. The Beaver Dam YMCA’s roots date back as far as 1893 when it was a student organization at Wayland Academy. The Dodge County YMCA was founded in 1914 and became the Beaver Dam YMCA in 1939. In 2006 the Beaver Dam YMCA changed its name to the YMCA of Dodge County to more accurately represent the communities that they serve.

At this time we want to invite you to become part of the YMCA family, and take the opportunity to join our membership that will provide you and your family with countless benefits to improve your quality of life. Some of the new amenities include; the Family Adventure Water Park, the Competitive Pool, the Health and Wellness Center, the Group Exercise and Dance Studio, the Child Development Day Care Center, the Family Gym and several multi-purpose spaces for you and your family to enjoy. Along with a brand new facility comes new programs. The YMCA is fortunate to have wonderful staff that have worked hard to provide several new and expanded programs for you and your family to enjoy. Most importantly, the YMCA is open to everyone, and we are committed to offering even more financial assistance to children and families to make our facility and programs available at an affordable rate.

The YMCA staff and I are excited to bring this new facility to Dodge County and we hope you enjoy your time with us.

Rob Johnson, Executive Director
YMCA of Dodge County

Dominick family donates to YMCA
Brian, Khristine and John Dominick are a local family who recognize the benefits of the new YMCA of Dodge County first hand.

"John has been involved with the YMCA in several different areas over the years, and after just coming off the flag football season, he is back on the basketball court playing in the YMCA's 1st and 2nd grade program," said Brian Dominick.

"My wife Khristy uses the YMCA almost daily, and really enjoys the wide variety of exercise opportunities from the Health and Wellness Center, to the group exercise classes, and the water exercise classes offered in both the competitive pool and the Family Adventure Water Park."

"The facility is just amazing and it turned out better than any of us could have imagined," he added. "To see all the families and children including ours, enjoying the pools and facility is just a great testament to why we wanted to add our support to this project."

As the owner of Benvenuto's Italian Grill in Beaver Dam, and with two locations in Madison, Brian Dominick understands what it means to meet the needs of his customers.

"Our goal at Benvenuto's is to create a dining experience for our guests that exceeds their expectations yet remains affordable for everyone. I think the YMCA with Rob's leadership has also exceeded all of our expectations with this fabulous new facility and his knowledgeable staff. Dominick said.

Rob Johnson, YMCA Executive Director, voiced appreciation for the gift from the Dominick Family.

"Brian and his family have been very supportive of the YMCA programs and fundraisers in the past, and this is just another example of how generous our donors have been throughout the process," Johnson said. "Without the continued support of gifts like this, the new YMCA would not be possible. Several donors have come forward to show their support after the completion of the building phase, as they know that the YMCA Board of Directors took a leap of faith that our community would help support this project, and they have."

To date the YMCA has raised $5.3 million and is still working on reaching their overall goal of $8.1 million to ensure limited debt for the long-term benefit of the YMCA.
